October 1st is World Vegetarian Day and the kickoff of Vegetarian Awareness Month. Here's a link about it: http://www.worldvegetarianday.org/

Our Story

These recipes consist of favorite selections from various cookbooks & magazines, along with some of my original recipes. Shanti was raised vegetarian by his mother, Evie, who has been a wonderful source in this cooking endeavor. The main idea is healthy eating and how you really can thrive on a meatless diet. From whole grains in main dishes to honey (rather than refined sugar) in desserts, this collection will hopefully have something for everyone! If you try a recipe and like it, please post a comment and share it-- we'd love to hear! There are also some tips and info for healthy eating.
